ACL Surgery Recovery

Okay, I posted on here for the first time back last April. As a beginner I was doing well running and everything and then in a soccer game last spring I blew my knee out. I had reconstructive surgery July of 2006. I have been doing rehab ever since however it seems like it is taking me forever to get back. I can run but not for very long and not without pain and I still have a little bit of a limp.

Has anyone else ever gone through this if so any tips, if not any tips anyway! I am getting really frustrated.

No personal experience but training with a friend who has. His three part plan was 1) Yoga (the stretching helped him the most), 2) strength training and 3) light cycling. He did 6 months of this before running his first mile. After 6 months of 15-20 hours wourout weeks, he's doing Ironman AZ. Hope this helps. Good luck.
